2014 Ralph Fowler Viognier
Ralph Fowler Wines is a true family company. Our wines are hand made in small quantities. Only 5,000 bottles of Viognier are produced each year.
Our Viognier is styled to be food friendly with minimal use of the preservative sulphur and extended time with the fermentation yeast for 6 to 10 months to enhance the richness, texture and flavour of the wine.
The 2014 harvest was very low yielding with half the normal crop level and only 3,500 bottles were blended for bottling.
The wine is rich, textured and full flavoured with biscuity yeast characters and honeysuckle, citrus, ginger and musk flavours and aroma.
We recommend short term cellaring of 2 to 5 years to best appreciate this wine.
